About this site

Windblade Codex is an independent English guide site for Where Winds Meet. It is not affiliated with NetEase, Everstone Studio, or the game's publishers, and it does not sell anything.

Who writes it

One editor, working from official announcements, the in-game English UI, patch notes, and Chinese-language guide material. Where those sources disagree, the disagreement is written into the page instead of being smoothed over. Contact address: [email protected].

Why the Chinese terms are kept

Most detailed Where Winds Meet material is written in Chinese, and the English localisation does not always match it. Keeping the Chinese original beside every English name means a reader can move between a Chinese video, a Chinese build post, and the English UI without guessing. It also makes errors visible: if a name here disagrees with the game, you can see exactly which string is in dispute.

How claims are handled

  • Names are marked Official, Community, Descriptive or Unresolved. A descriptive name is a working name, not a translation claim.
  • Tier ratings carry a month. "T0" without a date is not a usable claim, because balance patches have moved this game's builds twice in a single year.
  • Missing values stay missing. If the game has never published a duration, the page says so instead of quoting a player estimate as fact.
  • No numbers are invented. Where a figure is not in the source material, the page does not produce one.

What the site deliberately does not cover

Monetization. No shop pricing, no gacha value analysis, no "is this bundle worth it" content, no currency conversion, no battle-pass economics. Those topics date faster than mechanics and pull a guide site away from what players actually need. If you are looking for spending advice, this is the wrong site, by design.

Update policy

Mechanic and reference pages are reviewed after every major patch or region release. Dates on each page say when it was last checked. A page is not silently rewritten: if a claim changes, the page moves forward with the new date.

Editorial process and automation

Drafting is assisted by research tooling; every page is edited and checked against a single terminology table before publication. The terminology table is the reason the same Inner Way is spelled identically on five different pages.

Corrections

Email [email protected] with the page and the wrong claim. Corrections are applied with a note, not quietly. The contact page has the details, and the privacy policy explains what the site stores.
